When dealing with any breeder you must excercise caution as pomsky scams are becoming abundant as well as bad breeders trying to make money with very little effort. Below is a list of things you can do to help protect yourself when looking for a pomsky.
-Never pay someone with a money order or cashier's check. This is what scammers will always request so that their identity cannot be verified. Always use either paypal or a bank transfer if you are not meeting the breeder in person.
-Never send money to someone who you have not spoken to on the phone. A good breeder who cares about their pups will want to get to know you before they agree to sell you a puppy.
-Do not buy a pomsky that has not been dna tested. People are selling random mutts, huskies and pomeranians as pomskies. Demand proof before you pay pomsky prices.
-If a breeder is sending you the stock photos of pomskies on google images do not send them money. It is most likely a scam. If it does not look like a pomsky to you, it probably isn't.
-Breeders have been dishonest about size and eye color. If they will not tell you the weights of the parents and the puppies I would be suspicious. If they will not show you photos of the parents I would be suspicious. Puppies will grow up to be about half the combined weight of the parents. So if they have a 40lb husky and a 10lb pomeranian and tell you pups will be in the 5-10lb range, they are lying. They will most likely be 20-30lbs. Breeders will advertise a pup as having blue eyes when they will not have blue eyes. All pups are born with blue eyes and they slowly darken as they get older. Grayish blue eyes at 5 to 6 weeks will not be blue eyes. The photo below is a 5 week old blue eyed pomsky. Her eyes lightened as she got older but at this age a blue eyed pup should have bright electric blue eyes like the photo below.
You best chance of acquiring a quality, healthy pomsky puppy is to go through one of our breeders since they have all had their identities and information verified and will be held accountable if they do not adhere to our code of ethics.
